Many outdoor enthusiasts are keen to get the best of what of the market has to offer.  I’m just as guilty, trading a perfectly good bag for something lighter, more spacious, and more versatile.  It’s a shame we all aren’t as excited about first aid kits as we are about packs!  Our personal wellbeing is paramount to getting out and doing what it is that we love, so why not get hyped about first aid?  For one it’s not very glamorous, and if you’re new to first aid, putting a kit together can be a bit overwhelming.  Continue reading “Intro to Med Kits”

Intro to Backpacking: Finding the right outdoor bag

First off, an outdoor bag is one of those things that needs seen and touched.  The market is so stuffed with options that deciding to buy one bag over the other based on internet research alone is too risky.  Sure, you might be stoked with your purchase, but what if the competitor’s bag proves to be a way better deal when held in the hand?  Get out to your local shops and, at the very least, finger through the backpack selection to see and feel what some of your options are.  Try them on and throw some weight in them, please!
